Reporting from the Coachamatic lab

So you know that Coachamatic.com is one of the big projects that Andy has put in my hands, and let me tell you-- I am all over it. I love it! And it's coming together even faster than anticipated!

When Andy put out the call for bloggers a few weeks ago, we got 121 replies from coaches interested in participating in the project. The interest was just through the roof! They were pretty much all amazing, very interesting  coaches with impressive training and experience, but we had to narrow down the pack dramatically. If we could have kept all of them, we would have, but we just couldn't.

After much deliberation, we narrowed the gang down to 34 coaches in a diverse assortment of niches. These niches range from biz, to finance, to health/wellness, to spirituality, to sensuality, to everything in between. There's truly something for everyone.

Pretty much all of them had previous blogging experience. Another cool thing is that the bloggers are truly an international bunch. What unites them is a love of blogging and a desire to create a close-knit coaching community where they can interact with their peers from all over the world.

The funnest part is how excited everyone is about this project. I'm so glad that the coaches who didn't get to be the bloggers realize that Coachamatic will still be "their blog". That's the beauty of a blog--even if you aren't the blogger, you can still post comments and share your ideas with everyone. Andy is the producer/creator/coordinator, but I think he appreciates that the blog really does belong to the whole coaching community. What's a blog without commenters, anyway? No fun--that's what!:-) And if Coachamatic is anything, it's FUN! 

Over the past few days, Andy's changed the template, so Coachamatic has had a complete makeover (although it still sports the snazzy red toolbox--we really couldn't bear to lose the toolbox!) The site looks very classy, subtle and totally hot--if it's possible to be all three of those things at once. Trust me, it looks good. It's not up for the public to see yet, so don't try to look for it. Believe me, I'll be letting you know when the launch party is so you can scoot on over there. Just a little bit longer... :-)
